All of our kittens are dewormed three times, and vaccinated twice – we practice late-vaccine programme which means that the first vaccination is when the kittens are about 9 weeks old and the second one comes about 12 weeks old. When our babies turn 4-5 weeks old, apart from milk, we introduce the best quality canned food (Catz Finefood, Lily’s Kitchen) in their diets. They are also fed with raw meat. Because we attach such a great significance to kittens’ broad development – especially to socialization, we do not let them join the new owners too early allowing them to gain extra time to understand the world, to make their life-start easier. Kittens usually leave our cattery at the age of 15 or 16 weeks. Before they move into a new house they go through vet’s examination and are spayed/neutered. The earlier age for the surgery benefits cats, owners, and veterinarians alike. Each and every kitten receives a pedigree, cat’s health record book or a passport and a kitten layette which will support the adaptation to new surroundings.
